NASA’s budget categorizations have changed throughout the agency’s history. Click any year in the chart above to learn more about how the budget was categorized for that particular year. Use the dropdown menu in the upper left-hand corner of the chart to toggle between then-year and FY20 dollars.

All adjustments for inflation in this data repository are made using the GDP Chained Price Index published by the Office of Management and Budget in Historical Table 10.1.
